1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between Continuous Translations ("we", "us"), and you, or the organisation you represent ("you"). By creating an account or using Continuous Translations (the website, editor, API, CLI and documentation, together "the service"), you agree to them. If you accept on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may do so.
2. The service
Continuous Translations helps teams manage translations: keys, translations, review, translation memory, glossary, branches, an API, a CLI and integrations with GitHub and GitLab. Features, limits and plans are described on the pricing page and in the documentation. We may improve, change or remove features. We will give notice of changes that materially reduce what a paid plan includes.
3. Accounts
- You must give accurate information and keep your credentials, API keys and tokens secret.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including actions taken by API keys, integrations and AI agents you authorise.
- Organisation owners and admins decide who can access the organisation's projects and are responsible for removing people who should no longer have access.
- Tell us promptly at support@continuous-translations.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
4. Plans, limits and payment
Plans have limits, for example on members, projects and keys. At the moment the Free plan is available and no payment is taken. If we introduce paid plans, we will state the price and billing terms before you are charged, and you will not be charged without agreeing to them. We may change the limits and prices of plans for the future, with reasonable notice.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you put into the service, such as source strings, translations, notes and glossaries. You give us a limited licence to host, process and display it only to provide the service to you. You confirm that you have the rights to the content and that it does not infringe the law or anyone's rights. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
You can export your content at any time in the supported file formats.
6. Acceptable use
You will not:
- break the law, or upload content that is unlawful or infringes others' rights;
- attempt to access accounts, data or systems you are not authorised to use, or probe or test the service's security without our written permission;
- disrupt the service, for example by exceeding rate limits on purpose or by sending automated traffic that degrades it;
- resell or provide the service to third parties as your own, except as part of your own products and workflows;
- reverse engineer the service where the law does not allow you to.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or threatens the service or other users, and we will tell you why where we can.
7. Third-party services
If you connect GitHub, GitLab or an AI agent, your use of those services is governed by their own terms. The service acts on your behalf with the permissions you grant. Review those permissions before you grant them.
8. Availability and support
We work to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and the service has no service level agreement. We recommend keeping your source files in your own repository, which the CLI workflow does by design.
9. Intellectual property
The service, its software, design and documentation belong to us or our licensors. Apart from the right to use the service under these terms, we grant you no rights to them.
10. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, such as lost profit, lost data or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim arose, or €100 if you did not pay. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you materially breach these terms, or if we stop offering the service, in which case we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your content. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 5, 9 and 10) survive the end of the agreement.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. For material changes we will tell account holders by email in advance. If you keep using the service after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law and contact
Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent Dutch court, unless mandatory consumer law gives you another right. Questions: support@continuous-translations.com.
